Pixar did it again. Love the vibrant colours and unique designs of each character and Dante is the real star of the show! Emotional moments work just as well as the humourous moments. Another strong entry in the Pixar library
Pixar has done it again. They've
managed to strike that balance between humour and heartwarming perfectly. They've also managed to do a proper sequel and avoid another Cars 2 situation.
I loved the new character additions, specifically Ed O Neil's Hank character and Edris Elba's seal character. However the old characters that appear do an entertaining job as well, specifically Ellen DeGeneres as Dory. DeGeneres owns the role and adds plenty of warmth to an already inviting character.
All I knew about this film going in was that Jake Gyllenhaal gives an amazing performance and that it was about freelance journalism. And honestly that's all you need to know. Knowing too much more about the story or even Gyllenhaal's performance diminishes the overall experience.
