I'd heard a lot of mixed things about Foxcatcher up to watching it yesterday. I was painfully aware of Steve Carrell's makeup the entire time. The movie can feel disjointed and lopsided. Fury Road is an absolute masterpiece in every sense of the term. Amazing camera work that it's borderline impossible to wrap your mind around. And the editing is up there with David Lowery's work in Upstream Color. It joins the ranks along with Spring Breakers as a true auteur art film masquerading as mainstream fare.
