Like most people it seems, I was expecting John Wick with Nic Cage. I liked the different direction though and really found the change of pace to be enjoyable.
I really wanted this to be good. The premise was great and I didn’t know it was based on true events which made it even more intriguing.
Unfortunately it wasn’t too good a movie imo.
I just couldn’t seem to get invested in the characters.
It felt very drawn out, a very long 98 minutes.
I was wondering how they were possibly going to wrap it all up in what I thought had to be the last 10 minutes, because…
I’m feeling a little generous.
The script was shit, complete and utter dog shit. The rest of the movie was quite good though.
It had a couple of little twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I certainly didn’t see the movie ending the way it did.
Once the 3 or 4 jump scares had been used up there wasn’t too much that was really scary about the movie. It kind of became this mystery movie.
Not a boring mystery…
