Raoul Peck crafts a brilliant narrative look at the history of white supremacy and colonialism throughout the ages. Equal parts Adam Curtis and Werner Herzog, this documentary gives insight to conditions and signs of genocide, even before the concept was truly spoken into word.

I will be teaching this film yearly from now on.

Just finished Q: Into The Storm. For something I’ve devoted too much brainpower to researching, cataloging, warning and analyzing over the last few years, seeing it all laid out with the forces behind it has me completely speechless.

    Well done @CullenHoback .

Wow. Nothing I can say will describe this movie accurately so I wont even attempt it.
This is a master class in cinematography, audio design and lighting. So much of this movie hinges on these wild and enthralling set pieces, and it keeps you absolutely hooked. Its a breathtaking visual and audio feast.

Gareth Evans’s Apostle is The Wicker Man for 2018. A slow burn mystery in its first half, and a goretastic ride in its second half. Dan Stevens kills it in this role, as a man searching for his kidnapped sister, taken by a strange cult. Its stylish. Its creepy. Its violent as hell. There is some Wicker Man here, some Silent Hill, theres even a few scenes that he managed to sneak his style from The Raid into. This movie was well worth the wait.
