Us Again

Us Again ★★★★½

A reminder that the short film is often the purest distillation of cinema. In just six minutes, Zach Parrish achieves a flawless synthesis of love’s transcendent, transportive power, finding in motion and music’s shared space a story of two ageing lovers who roll back the years to dance beneath the stars once more as if they never got old and grew grey at all. Beautifully lit, fluidly choreographed, and emotionally charged, Us Again wastes no time seizing viewers’ hearts, and for six beautifully animated minutes, Parrish delights in filling our minds with all of the magic that love timelessly musters.
