Jordan Smith’s review published on Letterboxd:
Bangs. Obviously doesn’t come anywhere near the original (nothing ever will) but Lana going iso to show what The Matrix means to her and double down on the Neo-Trinity relationship at the expense of dazzling wire-fu is a lovely surprise. After two viewings what’s most striking is the ambivalence about the Matrix, this idea that some folks are happy where they are. That, and Keanu’s weary but sensitive performance. Might be his finest work.
Had my own Morpheus “Is this real?” experience this weekend when I attended the Bengals’ first playoff victory in 31 years.
