    "...He's beautiful."
"No, he ain't beautiful. He's an evil critter, ma'am. You read in your Bible, Revelations, where the book's talking about the worst beast of all..."

Fear of your own difference as an inherent part of the American experience, and that self-hatred/loss of identity is re-taught in Bible verses and psychiatry. The horror here is Irena's loneliness, and the scheming of those supposedly there for her, arranging to fix the parts of her they won't try to understand ("I…

There's a hole in the earth (I will wait)
    Somewhere

Apichatpong's work, above all else, is concerned with the feelings that linger after the curtains have closed, with memories/images bleeding into our own. After recently watching Cemetery of Splendour, I dreamt of the birds I'd seen earlier in the film, repurposed like they were mine and maybe something more to me. Sound design here utilising a combination of wii resorts tracks, the overwhelming silence of space, bird_soft_tweeting.wav, and someone slipping on a banana and comically stumbling into various poorly placed instruments. Kinda abstract, kinda experimental, kinda lynchian.

Saw James Gubb yesterday and I said "James I'm your biggest fan", so excited to finally meet the King of cinema! But to my shock, James pulled me in close and said "kill yourself, I hate you, I hate my fans, my name is James gun", and then he punched me in the face and kicked my stomach and then he stabbed me several times in the neck 😔
I'm writing this from hospital where I am in a medically induced coma. Couldn't rate this movie any higher as a result.

    Bratz: Rock Angelz

Respect to the Bratz production team for their commitment to designing the ugliest fucking men possible; true realism is every man having vacant eyes, tiny arms, no nose, can't kickflip, smile like they fart.
