Damn this movie is great. Greta Gerwig is so good at portraying these stories in a way that just completely absorbs me for the entire runtime. ‘Ladybird’ was my best picture pick for 2018 and while I prefer it to ‘Little Women’ currently, I would really like a second viewing to see if this movie bumps up to another masterpiece from Greta - because it sure is damn close!
The ‘Irishman’ is fantastic! It doesn’t quite dethrone ‘The Departed’ as his best work, (for me) but nonetheless it’s another fantastic piece of art from the big man himself. I felt like the movie was a little too long although I struggle to think of parts that could have been cut.
Acting is phenomenal and I loved that at the end of it all I was very glad to not be a gangster (for once 😂).
‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ is the 23rd film in the infinity saga officially closing it out and boy did they do a good job. This has to be one of my favourites in the saga and my favourite Spider-Man film to date.
I really loved this movie - it’s comedy is fantastic and I really dug the awkward teenage charm. I love how they deal with the events of ‘Endgame’ and all the callbacks that come with it. Mysterio is done perfectly…
‘Avengers: Endgame’ is an absolutely perfect end to an EPIC 11 year saga. It’s shocking, nostalgic, emotional & contains some of the most joyous moments I’ve ever experienced in film. It is hands down my favourite MCU film to date and I couldn’t think of a better way to end the Infinity Saga.
From watching ‘Iron Man’ when I was 10 years old to finishing with ‘Endgame’ at 21, I can’t thank Marvel enough for the countless treasured memories & moments these films have provided me with. I can’t wait to see where they take it from here! 🤙🏼
