Another gem from British Cinema - It's small and intimate in its scope but incredibly tense. The bonds between the men are portrayed in such a deep manner, and whilst it is no American military blockbuster in its delivery you will find yourself totally gripped.

It's distressing, thought provoking and delivers an incredible portrayal of a somewhat forgotten conflict and its human cost. It features an incredible cast from throughout British televion and some of the best performances I've seen in this genre.

It will leave you feeling empty inside and left me with doubts about my aspirations, but it is nonetheless an important watch and one I'd highly recommend.

Upon finishing this movie I think I understand why it's a cult classic. A combination of beautiful, rugged setting and a great selection of music from the era make for a really enjoyable film. The Hero speaks just enough to give some background but remains silent enough of the time to coat the story in a fine dusting of mystery. If you enjoyed the original Mad Max or have a soft-spot for the western setting I think you'll enjoy it.

Also he drives a 1970 Dodge Challenger, what more can I say.

Cpl. Josh Ray Person: Oh, no thank you Lieutenant Commander. We got the warning order, so it looks like we're going to be moving out to kill a lot more of these Godless heathens for you. But don't worry, we will not rest until the Iraqi threat to your way of worship has been completely neutralized.
