I make Horror movies at Ghost House Pictures 👻
Somehow I’ve never seen this before. Gobsmacked at how well it holds up to the hype. It takes its time and doesn’t rush to the punchline, sometimes using promising broad set pieces (Vegas) as a misdirect for the real intimate setpiece (the plane). Both the screenplay and Feig’s direction are patient, letting the characters grow naturally instead of cramming jokes into every second of the movie. Then when the typical comedy beat hits its that much funnier.
But the real glue…
Hi Folks, believe it or not I’ve spent THREE YEARS developing this movie and seeing it through to its release.
About 1.5 years ago I was watching BLACK SUNDAY at 3am and thought to myself...wouldn’t it be cool if Mary had a badass metallic mask in the shape of the Virgin Mary nailed to her face? I’m super proud of that contribution!
I’m really enjoying reading the reviews (both good and bad) they’re making me chuckle. I hope whoever sees this…
