  Not everything needs to either be “deep” or “dumb”. I didn’t expect to quote this movie considering how much I didn’t really care for it on first impression, but “you can’t lump everything into two categories”.   This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

  How can a movie be so in your face with gore, yet so incredibly subtle in building up suspense and tension, at the same time? Great, great movie that really holds up both in its reputation, but more importantly, in regards to its special effects, which genuinely baffled and disturbed me 40 years later. Also, no joke, the only audible reaction I heard in the theater was when the characters were slitting their fingers for the blood test. But not during the part where, y’know, a man’s torso rips open and tears someone’s arms off.

  I’m convinced that these visual effects artists are time travelers. I don’t want to say too much becuase I know I’m too young and inexperienced to understand everything going on, especially in the last 20 minutes. But I will admit that I felt hypnotized during that time.

  Absolutely a great ending to this certain saga of the MCU. The first two acts were great and I honestly was so intrigued by everything going on.
