This movie is fun, and has a good heart, and some formal elements of it are actually quite strong. It differentiates itself from trash cinema like The Room in that I don’t feel like I’m laughing at the movie. Watching Miami Connection feels more like laughing at a good-humored try-hard cousin who’s doing better than I expected.
