Only the strong will survive.
Well, they really shat the bed with this one didn't they. X-Men: Apocalypse just falls flat on its face when it should have been the most epic adventure yet for the mutant team. By this point, Jennifer Lawrence really is phoning it in as Mystique and, both James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender just look a little bored. The exciting young talent brought on board to carry this franchise forward are pretty much wasted and don't even get me started on Oscar Isaac as the big bad of the film. For a planet threatening level of threat this is focused on, it is just all rather dull, which looks to have continued into Dark Phoenix.
