This movie has so many feels. Up is the story of an old gentleman following the dreams of his late wife of adventure and travel. And along the way he runs into a cast of quirky characters. I don't need to say much else, Pixar always delivers an enjoyable experience for audiences of all ages.
Better than the first one by far. The Expendables brings together old action heroes from the 70's and 80's for some one-liners and explosions. It's a popcorn flick. Not much substance to the plot, but that's okay because you're there for the guns, explosions and fighting. Seeing Silvester Stalone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris all being badass alongside each other is satisfying and references to their old movies is also a fun touch. Overall, pretty enjoyable actually, for what it is.
Wow! I can't believe I hadn't seen this film before! I'm a big Jim Carrey fan, but for some reason managed to avoid watching The Truman Show all this time. And I am sorely disappointed in myself because that was fantastic. At first I was wondering how they could possibly progress the plot with the way they set up the story, but it built up so well and the payoff was satisfying. The pacing was perfect and I was engaged the whole movie.
