  • Halloween

John Carpenter’s horror masterpiece was exactly what I needed to get into the Halloween spirit.
Easily one of the most well done horror movies I’ve ever seen and that’s without all of the modern special effects and gore and shit.
Jamie Lee Curtis easily gives the strongest performance.
The cinematography was truly exceptional and when paired with the amazing score, this movie created a lot of real fear and suspense.
I’m not crazy inclined to watch the sequels but I do have tickets for the new sequel tomorrow so look out for my review!

Bad Times at the El Royale

A really good character driven movie. Reminded me a lot of The Hateful Eight both with its narrative style and well written characters.
I loved the absolute mystery of The El Royale. The hotel almost felt like a character at times.
Soundtrack was very good. Camera work was great.
Not a bad movie to see at 3:15 on a Tuesday

    Gone Girl

Another killer movie for David Fincher. The man is truly gifted. Ben Affleck was amazing but Rosamund Pike steals the show. She is absolutely incredible in this movie and really carried the movie to another level. The writing is good, the suspense is good. Lots of twists and turns. Definitely another great screening.

This is probably the best true crime thriller I’ve ever seen. Fincher is at his best but so is everyone else in this movie. Ruffallo, Gylenhaal, and Downey Jr. all killed it. The writing is unbelievable and technically, the film is amazing. I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this but I’m fucking glad I did. Now I have to watch Gone Girl soon!

    Wow. Just wow.

This was the only thing I could think throughout this amazing movie. I have never been so blown away by a movie for as long as I can remember. As a film lover, as well as a person with eyes, this movie was just on another level.

From a technical standpoint, there is no better movie than this one. The techniques used to actually make and film this movie are unbelievable. There were certain…

    Ant-Man and the Wasp

After hearing mixed reviews, I went in unsure of how much I'd like this movie, but shame on me for doubting Marvel. This movie was even better than I expected. Not only was it a great sequel, but it also had a lot of new pieces that really worked. The biggest of which was The Wasp who was a complete bad-ass and a great addition to the Avengers.
My favorite part of the Ant Man series is the humor, and…
