  • Moonlight

    Movie #1000 🎉

What a movie for number 1000! Moonlight is an authentic crash course on toxic masculinity filled with great performances and fantastic writing.

All three acts of the story gave great insight into the lives of underprivileged black youth. I would say the first act was my favorite (mostly because of Mahershala Ali), but i felt the third act was kind of weak.

Shout-out to Barry Jenkins for crafting this wonderful movie unlike any other I've seen.

  • Roma

This left me kind of shocked.
A whirlwind of emotion combined with exquisite filmmaking make Roma likely the best movie of the year.
Every aspect of the film is executed masterfully.
The performances were so authentic and incredibly memorable, especially Yalitza Aparicio.
The cinematography was great as I’ve come to expect from Cauron, who did the cinematography, writing, and directing for the film. This is truly HIS masterpiece.
The black and white was beautiful and perfectly  encapsulated the nostalgic feel…

    Uncle Drew

Funny at some points but too ridiculous to work as a whole. Loved seeing the NBAers in all their makeup. Kyrie Irving was and always will be funny as Uncle Drew and I'll never get tired of seeing him school young bloods.

    Boy Erased

    Surprisingly very well done.
Easily Lucas Hedges' best role to date.
Joel Edgerton did a great job putting this movie together and it definitely counts as a win.
Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe were great as the parents, conveying real pain and family turmoil.
Overall this movie was better than I expected and one I'm glad I saw.

    Wow. Just wow.

This was the only thing I could think throughout this amazing movie. I have never been so blown away by a movie for as long as I can remember. As a film lover, as well as a person with eyes, this movie was just on another level.

From a technical standpoint, there is no better movie than this one. The techniques used to actually make and film this movie are unbelievable. There were certain…

    Ant-Man and the Wasp

After hearing mixed reviews, I went in unsure of how much I'd like this movie, but shame on me for doubting Marvel. This movie was even better than I expected. Not only was it a great sequel, but it also had a lot of new pieces that really worked. The biggest of which was The Wasp who was a complete bad-ass and a great addition to the Avengers.
My favorite part of the Ant Man series is the humor, and…
