Rourke is astounding here, giving his all here, as is De Niro, who's severely underrated here, even though his role is minimal.
The various sounds and musical cues slowly burn their way into the back of my head, and I began to felt uncomfortable at times.
But you don’t know fucked until that finale happens……
Although I was slightly disappointed with the horror aspects of the film, I still found my way through the rain and scum of NY and Louisiana.
It’s truly an underrated film worth watching.
