Phantom of the Paradise ★★★★½

The jazzy, ballsy, coked-out step-sibling of Rocky Horror meets Hunchback of Notre Dame, and contains some of De Palma’s best directing and editing ever.

I mean, yea, it’s just the rock opera equivalent to Opera, but holy hell, it’s an entirely unique and ethereal experience like no other.
I’ll admit I was almost high starting it but it wore off 15 minutes in and it was still so unholy.

Glad to end 4/20 on this; what a ride!
