Please Lord Vader, don’t force choke me for this🥲 I know a 7/10 is a pretty bold and low score for such an iconic film, but I really do think that’s what it deserves. Like “A New Hope”, “The Empire Strikes Back” is a bit clunky and rushed, but it’s still a lot of fun. Even with it’s gripping tension, clever camera work, cool score and effective build up, this movie left me kind of frustrated. I was totally on board for the first 3/4, then the finale rolled around. It got pretty dumb during the finale. The reveals were lame and there was barely any character development to be found. It may be an entertaining film with intriguing concepts, but it’s definitely my least favourite Jordan Peele movie.

Ouuu, this is a freaking gem!! I really wish they had’ve made this into a full length feature, but it’s a really touching short film nonetheless. Heartfelt, funny, and it offers just the right amount of cheese. 23 minutes long and it accomplishes so much. It’s an early 2023 fav of mine👌🏼 Watch it!
