Things I liked about Ready or Not:
- The mix of technology and vintage aesthetics in the house design. They played vinyls with 1950s-sounding hide and seek music and had fancy near-primitive weapons, but the entire house was equipped with a high-tech security system and electric cars.
- Super well executed mix of comedy and thriller, to the extent that it felt like a caucasianized Jordan Peele movie. Which obviously couldn’t ever be a bad thing, as Ready or Not exemplified.
Things I didn’t:
- The barbarian children who knew how to use a gun creepily well.
- Daniel dying.
- Alex.
Reasons why Samara Weaving is a queen goddess legend of acting etc:
- Not enough characters
