My friend made a short film in college with almost this same plot.
His film would’ve been over before the opening credits even rolled for this movie. Who puts their opening credits a HALF AN HOUR into a 2hr movie? I watched a quarter of the film, I no longer have any desire to watch opening credits. What a way to snap a person out of the plot.

Although Gyllenhaal’s performance is exceptional, the film relies too heavily on that alone. With a story told entirely from a single location with one character on and off the phone, sound design becomes paramount. They missed the mark.
