Wow, what a fun movie! I laughed out loud at many parts. Watched a Criterion rental from the library, which was a really great restoration... looked sharp!

Dang, this film slaps so hard. The direction, performances, music, sound, etc... all around slapfest.

I really appreciated the music on this go-around. Beautiful.

There was a moment towards the end of the film, when Reynolds looks for Alma…

    A blast!

This is where things really start to take off. A massive leap forward from 2+3. Such great action set pieces. A wonderful thrill ride.

Excited to finally watch Rogue Nation!

Haven’t seen this in ages. Really fun moments throughout. Love the animation here as well, especially the backgrounds, really quaint and picturesque.

Watched most of this over a month ago, but somehow left the last 20 minutes or so unwatched. Finally finished today.

Gorgeous art direction and animation. Some of the best I’ve ever seen come from Disney.

This was a first watch for me. Wish we had this puppy on Criterion, lol.

Stunning imagery, expert editing, a compelling narrative. Thrilling, heartfelt, fun, quirky, beautiful.

One of the best films of the year.

Man, I really wanted to enjoy this. Bummer. Started it on Friday night, but couldn't make it through in one sitting, so I broke it up.

There are about 5 more big action set pieces than are needed, and all of the action is so heavily reliant on large-scale spectacle the it dilutes the experience. I was hoping for something more along the lines of an early Bourne film, with more of an espionage thriller bend and a focus on…

What a wonderful film. Very funny, heartwarming, and creative. Blown away at the skill of the filmmakers, being able to tell such a compelling and lovely film about a talking shell. Great work all around.

  • Batman Begins

    Batman Begins

    ★★★★

It took 3 sittings to finish because I keep falling asleep at like 10p, but what a movie!

I love how operatic and stylized this world is, much more so than TDK or Rises. This movie does so much for the Batman mythos; I eat it up every time!

What a thrilling theater experience; I had a blast!

There were some set-ups that I felt weren’t paid off well or at all, leaving a few loose ends, but overall it was a solid movie. Glad to see Peele moving into a new direction with this piece, more sci-fi thriller vs a straight horror. Definitely more of a mass appeal film, which I think is a smart move.

Can we talk about that Oppenheimer teaser though??! I did not expect to see that! Anyone else get that teaser after Nicole led us through the pledge of allegiance.

Shoot, I'm behind schedule. Need to pick up the pace if I want to finish this project before 2023.

Okay, this movie is not good. It's hardly even a movie, moreso just a 90 minute video to make you…
