I watch stuff and write about it.
The fact that this exists just astounds me. I am 100% on board with any artist being given the resources to finish their film. It’s not a perfect film but it is so much better than that Frankenstein mess we got in 2017 made by Whedon. This film doesn’t need to be four hours, it’s that long just because everything was thrown on HBO Max because why the hell not, why cut anything? However, there’s a decent two and…
“I AM A REVOLUTIONARY!”
A very hard hitting true crime drama that’s coming out pretty early in the year. Usually a movie like this would be held off until Oscar season but with the extended time table due to Covid, makes sense why we’re getting it now. Feels dumb calling this one of the best of the year but this will probably be one of the best films of the year. A film that tackles the Black Panther Party…
Nothing really blew me away in this film but it’s not bad. It’s a nice little story about dealing with depression and grief and not doing that alone. Lily Rabe was good as the lead. Also, this was kind of Timothée Chalamet’s first lead performance in a film and he knocked it out of the park, I thought. It’s a well made film, I just didn’t have a very strong emotional response to it like the film was probably hoping for. Overall, I’d give a light recommendation because it’s an alright little indie drama.
This film really comes from a place of familiarity. Displaying the true horror of attending family events. Relatives that you mistake for strangers getting uncomfortably close to you and saying how much you’ve grown. Because they apparently saw you as a baby at some point? Also asking about you future life plan for the next 20 years. As well as you having to repeat the same information more than 100 times to people to the point where you have…
I finally drank the milkshake....I DRANK IT UP!
This film, is this even a film? this SPECTACLE is just an explosion of greatness. now my first viewing, I didn't quite like this film. Day-Lewis was great but I just thought "That's it?" So after seeing so many people praise this for some time now, I just go, "You know what, Gladiator is going to have to wait because I'm rewatching TWBB."
And can I just say...wow. from the opening…
I finally saw It.
After so much anticipation and book reading. I finally got to sit in a packed theater and prepare to experience this film. I've got to say, seeing the Georgie scene in full effect on the big screen was honestly very surreal.
It didn't sink in yet that I was finally seeing it. That the day had finally come. However when the title finally appeared. I was ready. So now the most important thing that I…
