    So...

    I feel like all Ridley Scott wants to make are these really innovative, divisive, Sci-fi epics with religious subtext...

    And then he also adds some Xenomorphs.

    Now after seeing both this and Prometheus. Something has become evident. Either the studio is forcing him to tie this into Alien because:

    -FRANCHISE
    -NAME RECOGNITION
    -MONEY 

    Or he doesn't want to tie it in but he knows he has to because he thinks no one will really care about giant pale…

    I had seen the sequel before this and wasn't a huge fan. The makeup was great but overall it just didn't quite grab me. There was a tree guy? And Seth Macfarlane? 

    This film is so much better.

    The makeup is still probably the highlight. Del Toro seems to always go all out on that aspect of his films. The CGI is a bit rough. The film's cinematography is a thing of vibrant, gothic beauty.

    Ron Perlman is great…

    I finally drank the milkshake....I DRANK IT UP!

    This film, is this even a film? this SPECTACLE is just an explosion of greatness. now my first viewing, I didn't quite like this film. Day-Lewis was great but I just thought "That's it?" So after seeing so many people praise this for some time now, I just go, "You know what, Gladiator is going to have to wait because I'm rewatching TWBB."

    And can I just say...wow. from the opening…

    From the opening scene, which is a long take of Baby Groot dancing around while the other Guardians fight a horrific space monster, I knew this was going to be something else.

    How many long takes are there in the MCU? I can't really think of any. I feel that MCU is finally giving directors a VOICE in their movies. This is definitely James Gunn's movie. Marvel let him roll with it and it was extremely for the better.…
