Josh Rubenoff’s review published on Letterboxd:
The plots of most Alexander Payne movies remind me of the jokes told at a monied dinner party: mildly transgressive at best and more than a little condescending. So I was surprised to find that I kind of enjoyed this one? Chau's accent is... very offensive, and the last fifteen minutes obliterate any of the subtext I enjoyed within the prior two hours, so I can't quite call this a good film. But I disagree with many of the popular critiques of this.
