  Stunning to look at. Unfortunately also: muddy plot holes, cringeworthy dialogue, and the drive to beat you over the head with resolutions. Who needs mystery and intrigue anyway.

  Could have been so much more with so much less.

  Has a good start and sets a creepy mood, but they just set up a third act that can't deliver. Still, Insidious is a nice throw back to fans of Poltergeist and Amityville.

  Entertaining enough, though a bit more heavy handed with less focus on the mystery than its foreign counterpart. If you have the choice, see the Swedish one.
