JuanCostrada’s review published on Letterboxd:
West Side Story features a wafer thin storyline with broad themes and lots of dancing.
The opening shots and credits are the highlight, and a dancing knife fight was at least a little loony. Perhaps not as loony as Maria’s ability to get over her brother's death with ease. And definitely not as loony as an early dance number where the lead proclaims that something is going to happen.
|King Costanza|: A rocket in the pocket.
