"Well, I have a flamethrower" - Rick Dalton

Holy lingering foot shots batman, maybe I'm okay with Tarantino retiring after his tenth film.

In Once Upon a Time in Hollywood a bunch of shit happens surrounding the Sharon Tate murders by Charles Manson and his followers. You follow Sharon Tate, you follow the followers, you follow Manson, and you follow a hollywood actor named Rick Dalton (Leo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). I personally find Tarantino's style and the performances to be too good for this to be bad but I didn't especially love it.

I still liked it and will probably see it again. Leo and Brad are two of the best characters in Tarantino's filmography and Robbie is endearing and wonderful in the underused role of Sharon Tate. The film looks beautiful and is highly watchable. My only problems are length and Tarantino's clear desire to taunt women and, randomly, Bruce Lee. The first 2 hours should be more like 1:20-1:30 and the last 40 minutes are great. It's not really that I care about the length, I just feel the pacing is off a bit for the first 2 hours.

Yeah, you're going to see it so just do it!

P.S. Rest in Peace Luke Perry. I'll miss you on Riverdale.

P.P.S. In my Tarantino/DiCaprio Power Rankings seeing Leo complain about hippies has now surpassed seeing Leo ask people if they would like some white cake.
