    Puppet Master: Axis Termination

    ½

No, that is not a Russian accent. This film looks like it was made on high school theater sets. Every person in this movie has a different accent. They don't even attempt to have people wear clothes from WWII. I mean I don't even know what to say about this, it's barely a movie. This is a cut below even the worst of the franchise.

    -WARNING: Weird foot scene
-It seems like a lot of people watch all of these films while hating nearly all of them. I am part of this group.

  • Puppet Master X: Axis Rising

    Puppet Master X: Axis Rising

This film feels like it was written by someone whose entire knowledge of World War 2 comes from what he or she was told by someone that read the Wikipedia entry on WWII a week earlier. The film has incredibly clumsy racism and sexism that is so outdated and silly it became a curiosity throughout the film.

-I was honestly not bored for much of this film, which is why I have given it 1 star as opposed to 1/2 star.

  • Style Wars

    Style Wars

    ★★★½

Early hip-hop, break-dancing and tagging. In addition, you will see the city's war on graffiti.

  • Battlefield Baseball

    Battlefield Baseball

    ★★★★

This film is very enjoyable. It is true that there is not much baseball in it, nor a ton of battling. Some of the people that have criticized the film seem to be caught up with whether it is an accurate portrayal of manga. While I think it is fair to do that, I am not much of a manga reader and so I did not have this concern. As a slapstick, bizarre, manga-ish, over the top musical with an occasional few seconds of baseball, I found this film to be well-paced as well as consistently entertaining and funny.

  • Puppet Master: Axis of Evil

    Puppet Master: Axis of Evil

This is a bad student film about WWII fever dream mixed with puppets killing people. It is really bad.

  • Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter

Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter

    ★★½

The fInal chapter is almost as disjointed on nonsensical, yet enjoyable, as part 4.

  • Pitch Perfect 3

    Pitch Perfect 3

Pretty bad, and I really liked the first two a LOT. It feels forced and budget-constrained. The music is far less important and impressive. While it is fun to see the characters that you have learned about through the first two films, I kind of wish that this movie had never happened.

    - Rebel Wilson fully commits and I give her credit for that.
    - John Lithgow should be ashamed of this performance, I have never seen a role more phoned in.

  • Puppet Master 4

    Puppet Master 4

    ★★★

Wow, this film is a major transition in the series. The film is fun with great kills. The demon puppets are great camp horror and all the favorite puppets are here.

  • Puppet Master II

    Puppet Master II

    ★★★½

    Crap Master II.

  • Spellbound

    Spellbound

Please watch this and spread the word!

This film, which tells the story of 8 qualifiers for the Scripps National Spelling Bee, is one of the most critical yet patriotic documentaries that I have seen. The eight stories give an excellent cross-section of race, class, opportunity, parenting strategies and personality types. The fact that the filmmakers allow the flaws and beauty of each of the children and their parents move forward with no overt judgement in editing or commentary (of…

  • Puppet Master

    Puppet Master

    ★★★

When Puppets are going up against Evil Psychics I am down with the puppets.

Disclaimer: I am watching these in the suggested timeline order as opposed to when they were released.

This film, although the first made, is not the best in the series but is interesting to watch and has some fun scenes. There is a middle block of the movie that is very boring but power through it and in the final act you'll see some of the magic that has helped this entire film series endure.

    - When you watch in the order that I am, the lack of Tousin seems very odd.
