    The Thing

    ★★★★★

The best horror film that I have ever seen. Everything about this film is amazing. I am not even sure how to interact with someone that doesn't like this movie.

  • Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

    ★★★★

Jason has been resurrected by lightning (so he is now officially supernatural now and not just a super strong human) and wants to kill Tommy who is played by a third different actor. This film embraces humor more. There are really funny crooked cops in this film and I could be wrong but I remember no nudity. This is probably the most cohesive story of them all so far and pretty fun.

    Notable Things Within the Series:
    - Highly self-referential…

    Jingle All the Way

    ★★★

The simplicity and stupidity of this movie along with over the top performances by Sinbad, Arnold and Phil Hartman made me smile. I feel guilty about it but I enjoyed it.

  • The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

    ★★

I am giving this 2 stars for fantastic set design and costumes. These movies have a very clear concept of the north pole and execute it to the perfection.

This story is just really horrible and makes no sense but there are a lot of stars in this film, including Alan Arkin and Ann-Margaret as Santa's inlaws and Aisha Tyler as mother nature.

  • Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

    ★★★★

Corey Feldman is in this and he is freaking great in it! Crispin Glover is in this and he is freaking great! You actually care about the characters and a bigger budget makes for better kills and acting performances.

    Notable in the Series For:
    - Apparently Corey Feldman thought that he was going to be auditioning for a Halloween film, and I love that.
    - Jason is now officially supernatural
    - Ted White, physically, is the best pre-Hodder Jason

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning

    ★★★

This is the first movie where I actually cared about 3 characters and there was suspense. There are a ton of WTF moments, murders near an outhouse, and more!

  • Santa Claus: The Movie

    Santa Claus: The Movie

    ★★★★

Charming film with Jonathan Lithgow and Dudley Moore. First half of movie is origin of Christmas (secular Christmas, Santa becomes Santa and meets elves and stuff), second half of movie is same Santa saving Christmas. The sets are really amazing with tons of specialized machines and miniatures.

Barely watchable, my daughter liked it.

  • The Santa Clause

    The Santa Clause

    ★★★

This has held up better than I thought it would. The sets are still fun to see. The overall story is insane-balls.

  • Elf

    Elf

    ★★

This movie has very funny parts but overall I think is not really that great. Also the Elf kind of seems like a sexual predator by 2017 standards.

  • Scrooged

    Scrooged

    ★★★½

I really like this "modern version" of "A Christmas Carol" that now seems old-fashioned. Bill Murray is really good in this. These are my favorite versions of Christmas Past and Christmas Present in any christmas movie.
