Creepy red flags:
* Grace is uncomfortable with kissing, doesn't state that she's not ready for that in her relationship just that "I know it wasn't what my parents wanted"
* Mother doesn't give daughter love advice instead tells father "we could use your wisdom" like he's some love doctor and she has nothing to contribute.
* Love interest meets/interacts with Grace when her brother's bike is hit by a car, talks to her one other time, then asks her…
One of the absolute worst Barbie movies. Everyone has obnoxious accents and for no reason everyone sides with Lumina even though she's given them no reason to trust her. Half of it doesn't make sense and the other half is just painful. I cried inside when the awful pop song started.
The early Barbie movies actually had effort, this one's a prime example of how sloppy and soulless they've become.

When they started singing I thought "Oh god, why would anyone think that the story of Moses would work as a musical" and then I remembered one of my favourite films The Prince of Egypt. This is definitely not even close to being on the same level as The Prince of Egypt. It couldn't even pass as a direct-to-video version.
