Julian Nunez’s review published on Letterboxd:
There’s something poignant in the seemingly triumphant, iconic James Bond greeting that comes at the end of the movie. It actually recontextualizes what is usually an effortlessly cool connotation into the most important & tragic moment in his career; the moment where he chooses to destroy what ever there was left of his soul, and the agent with a license to kill and no connection to the outside world becomes born. It’s not just a greeting, it marks the stamp of his march to death, both figuratively and literally.
