Julian Nunez’s review published on Letterboxd:
De Palma's economical rock opera is a total banger. Wastes no time establishing the characters and its fantastical world where a music mogul rules a heightened version of the music industry for an electric and wholly unique take on Phantom of the Opera. Each song—from a 50's radio-friendly pop rock to Faust orientated theatrical rock— slaps. Jessica Harper performing Winslow's ballad for her is already one of my favorite moments in film, period.
