Julian Sol Jordan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Two years ago I saw Get Out in a packed theatre on opening weekend with a couple of my friends. Fast forward two years later, and I’m doing the same thing and having the same special (and frightening) experience again. Like Peele’s debut, I’ll really have to spend a couple days to gather all of my thoughts.
That opening sequence blew me away. Mike Gioulakis continues to deliver beautiful visuals. Michael Abel’s score is chilling. Jordan’s direction strong. There’s a lot to unpack and I’m not sure I can really dive deep until I sit on it. I’ll follow up very soon. In the meantime, I’ll have to double check each family member in the morning. Not taking any chances here.
