Zack Snyder’s vicious and delightfully deranged return to the zombie film is an absolute blast from start to finish, delivering on some satisfying undead violence and darkly twisted humor that keep this consistently engaging. Sure, the film can feel overstuffed and the emotional moments don’t really land, but it undoubtedly succeeds as pure escapist entertainment and that’s all it really had to be. Snyder just doesn’t miss!
