Ram Solo’s review published on Letterboxd:
An exceptional job is done of re-creating the mystery for both those familiar with the story as well as those seeing it with fresh eyes.
It was nostalgic for me, having read the books years ago, yet the new twists kept me on my toes too. The changes made don't feel forced or diminish the story at all, which I was apprehensive about. In fact, it balances out the ensemble of villains and red herrings tightly, while leaving them all their presences felt.
I could get nitpicky about character motivations and all, but that's hardly the appeal of such a story (and the flaws were there in the original too).
All in all, it's pretty impressive what it manages to cram into 80-minutes.
Certainly worth a watch.
