Ram Solo’s review published on Letterboxd:
A very strong opening animation set of credits, I'd re-watch those for sure. However, the big comeback itself seemed a step down from the last Sellers film, with too much of gag set pieces over plot movement. Sometimes I began to wonder why the inspector was getting himself into these situations where he was merely bumbling alone, if not for us, the audience.
As much is the visual gags fell flat for me this time, I have to admit the dialogue on the other hand did have me in splits often enough to still enjoy this.
Two (and a half) left to go, I'll probably fit in something else in between though. Not compelled to binge the franchise at this point.
