Being unread on U.S civil rights, and the amount dramatic license taken. I felt this film arranged a complex series of events and emotions into a beautiful narrative flow that would resonate with any viewer.
Praise to Daniel Kaluuya's endearing performance as entrancing activist Fred Hampton. As well, a career highlight performance by the always fantastic LaKeith Stanfield; who's I'll fated Bill O'Neal conveys a sense of heartship and insecurity with just the audience left to judge.
Masterful film making with obvious attention to the frightening similarities to today's racial violence and unrest...sad.
