Justin Decloux’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Is he going to make it?”
“If he doesn’t, I’ll kill the son of a bitch.”
I remembered this being way more like THE HITCHER when in reality it's a vast tapestry of characters chasing after Wings Hausers psycho pimp Ramrod toward an anarchic conclusion. It would have been nice if they had ditched the dull lead male detective, but everyone around him is so charismatic that he’s easily forgotten.. Director Gary Sherman never allows a scene to wear out its welcome and his sudden cuts before violence erupts only makes those moments more disturbing.
Wing’s Hauser belting out the titular song “Neon Slime” is the best.
