Tetsuo: The Iron Man

Tetsuo: The Iron Man ★★★★½

one of, if not the most profoundly disturbing and violent thing(s) i have ever seen. constant stop-and-go scenes of full-blown aggression to snippets of stillness and silence that really take your stomach for a ride. the cinematography captures its chaotic beauty so well despite how jumpy it can be. it is a complete sensory overload partnered with thunderous industrial music and some of the most horrific imagery ever. body horror has never been much enticing to me, but this pushes the limits so far that i cannot ignore how brutally incredible it is. many refer to it as Eraserhead’s evil cousin, and i could not agree more. at just barely an hour long, Tetsuo: The Iron Man hurls you into a whirlwind of shock, discomfort, and thrill, then spits you out in the dirt.

watch here while you can, if you dare.
