This is the only 2.5 hour movie I think could easily be longer without wearing on the audience or detracting from what it achieves.
Not much I can say about this movie that hasn't already been said but each rewatch I'm struck more and more by how absolutely beautiful it is. The most simultaneously pleasant and disturbing audiovisual experience I've ever had.
This watch-through I noticed how realistic all the non-cult elements are. The dialogue, the poorly lit grad student apartment, and the depictions of tripping are so well done that I could easily imagine me and my friends there too. And even though Florence Pugh is undeniably gorgeous, she has a totally normal body type. In fact the whole cast just looks like believably regular people which sucks you in even deeper.
I love this movie so much and am concerned by my attraction to Pelle.
