The Haunting of Hill House ★★★★★

This was a master class in film making. A 10 part series that plays more like a long film. Mike Flanagan assembles a cast built from all of his previous works, and builds a realistic family in both the past, and present. This series has great camera techniques, and some of the best use of jump scares I’ve seen in years. None of them are cheaply used and they come sparingly. The way that the context of many scenes change as the show continues, was nothing short of brilliant. Every episode is directed by Flanagan giving the entire series the same voice to it. I cannot recommend this show enough. And keep your eyes peeled, there are ghosts everywhere...
