Justin Willis’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'm still tense. It Follows might be the first horror film I have ever seen that genuinely had me scared. I usually find horror bogged down with an assortment of extra baggage, but It Follows separates itself from the pack by being extremely well shot and expertly paced. The sense of continual dread never lets go. The atmosphere surrounding the movie captivates you. Sure, some characters make a few choices I found odd and several items are mysteriously missing (police, cell phones, and parents specifically), but none of that was so apparent that it took me out of the movie. For the most part, the flow and nature of the horror made for rational and suspenseful situations. Overall, this may be the best and most effective horror films I've ever seen.
