  Maya Erskine just makes everything she is a part of better, and this movie was already pretty good to start. The romcom isn’t dead, it’s just hiding out on streaming services.

  I don’t know this somehow worked for me. I actually really dug the 2022 high schoolers and would watch a sequel based on them. The premise was interesting, the cast was giving it their all, and the moral was expected but true.

  I actually feel like the framing device for this is perfect. This is like a fuzzy blanket or a bathrobe or a cup of tea. Perfect comfort in times of need, like a sick little kid.
