Kai Perrignon’s review published on Letterboxd:
Moves like a fucking bullet (takes less than 15 minutes for shit to go down), Anderson’s clear appreciation of space and scale shines through in the multiple broad daylight fights against great looking scaly bois, and Jovovich and Jaa have surprisingly nice chemistry. It’s a greasy diner’s bacon and eggs - refreshingly lacking in pretension in its quest to warm your belly. Plus it has just enough time to throw in dumb video game nonsense like the chef cat and Ron perlman’s anime hair. I would much rather watch this than another round of busy, muddled, superhero soup of blurry CG.
I’m now a WS Anderson guy.
