A high pedigree of cast and crew that breeds for a very entertaining experience. The five leads are incredible as always and being bolstered by Chandor's vivid direction, Boal's script, and Vasyanov's stunning photography, the result is one wide ride.
Not quite the weird classic that the original might be but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh pretty consistently throughout. The theme of extremist American identity and jingoistic worldviews juxtaposed with foreign integration maybe doesn't always mesh as well as originally intended but it does yield some fairly sporadically funny results throughout. Brian Cox is just a true testament to the craft of acting at this point too.
