Not sure what to make of this one! It's a whimsical distillation of the early 80s, but some of the songs and such went on for too long. There were long, long stretches without any dialogue, but that's sort of inherent to musicals in general. I can see someone being totally enthralled by this as a kid. It was quaint. I think that's the best way to put it. It's something I'd really enjoy watching on TV on a summer afternoon.
