Dune

Dune

A hazy, moody journey into bombastic colonial imagery. Makes good on the scope of Herbert's book but we explore/experience this world as an observer only, which reinforces the passiveness this film and other adaptations of the text often struggle with. It's an somehow impressive dig at Dune and it has a vision, but the traditional framing does it a disservice. I want it darker.
