    The Holiday Calendar


    Recently started working so I sadly can't muster up enough mental power to watch anything other than stuff like this.
    That being sad, this movie is pretty bad, what a surprise! Kat Graham is way too good for this movie and her character is not nearly good enough for her love interest, two things that were terribly distracting to me. Then again, I don't think anyone expects "Netflix Christmas Movie #14" to be good, do they?

    The direction is excellent - there's a certain one-shot that's honestly fantastic - but the script is just a little bit too quirky. The plot is just a little too convienent for my taste, plus there's a ton of stuff left without resolution. And worst of all, the "plot twist" at the end is so incredibly obvious from the very beginning, it got nothing but an eye roll from me.

    How ironic that the best movie of the year so far (where I live) is being distributed by Netflix because the execs thought it was too intellectual for the wide audience. I mean, they were probably right, but still.

    Avengers: Infinity War is not a movie.

    It's (the first part of) the culmination of almost 20 movies, with even more major characters; a season finale ten years in the making.

    To me, Infinity War felt like a mix of the season finale of Heroes and an episode of Lost. Both of these shows had large casts, and much like IW, they had to find a way to handle all the characters.
