Kane Bumpers’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've been sitting here in shock for 5 minutes trying to determine if I like it more than Never Rarely Sometimes Always. Point is, I absolutely loved this.
Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham gave two of the best performances I have seen all year. A few scenes genuinely moved me close to tears because of how intense and emotionally frustrating the situations were. I really loved how it ended too, although I think it could have been slightly better. Had it wrapped up in a way similar to You Were Never Really Here, this would probably be a 5/5 for me. I won't get into spoilers, but I feel as though the ending would've benefited from going with the third-act twist.
I couldn't have been more impressed by this, so check it out.
