Kane Bumpers’s review published on Letterboxd:
Bro what. This was pretty awesome. My expectations for this were very low, considering how the trailer looked totally bland and how Jason Statham and Scott Eastwood are two actors that I have never been impressed by. Not only was the film not bland, but the tone was actually superbly established. Everything was so gritty, and the use of long takes and tracking shots really helped to involve you in the story. The main theme of the films and all of it's variations was super cool, and it really helped to build tension. As for Statham, this is easily his best performance. Scott Eastwood was also watchable despite not having the most thoroughly-written character of the film. It's strange to say that this is kinda different from almost every action film I've seen, but the end product was just really dark and engaging.
