Kopo’s review published on Letterboxd:
Splendid. Really good performances all around and the dialogue is incredibly life-like. The best part of The Farewell is the way it pulls you into its universe and makes you as sympathetic of the situation as if you were actually part of the family. Clashing of ideals is nothing new, and nothing that people aren't capable of accepting (we should probably do more now-a-days, though), but here it's more gripping for its finality. Do you tell a loved one they're dying? Or do you let them live life soundly, without worry, until the very end? Solid arguments for both over the course of this film.
